In the third installment of a project last seen in the spring of 2020, the News analyzed the classes that are the most shopped and trending day to day.
Since the last time we looked at this data, however, Yale's age-old shopping period has been scrapped. In a move that sparked significant alumni backlash, it was replaced with a pre-registration system, meaning that students began forming preliminary schedules and applying for classes at the end of each previous term. This change, implemented for the first time for fall 2021 classes, was accompanied by a new add-drop period during which students finalize schedules.
